It’s that time of the year when you roll down the windows, and enjoy the beautiful weather this season! It’s also that time of the year when you get ready for experiencing Taste of Abu Dhabi! Back for the third year, this event will be held over the weekend (10th – 12th November 2016) at the Zayed Sports City. With every great food, drink and music festival comes a long list of people to thank! Featuring over 100 exhibitors, and an amazing line-up of music, this is surely an event not to be missed!
Yes, its a misconception that Taste of Abu Dhabi is meant only for “foodies” and “restaurant lovers”. However, amazing features like the Etihad Chef’s Theatre, the Tea Club Premier Lounge and many more, make this event quite the perfect fit for everyone! You could also do a “Meet & Greet” with some of the most renowned chefs like Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, Chef Ed Baines, Chef Jenny Morris, Chef Mohammed Orfali, Chef Michael Hunter and many more!
The best part about it all is that you get a chance to learn about cooking too! Chef Marco J Morana and Chef Aziz Rajab from ICCA are absolutely amazing chefs to guide you by the hand! (I can definitely vouch for them since they themselves taught me at ICCA). It doesn’t just end there. You get the chance to sample food from a variety of restaurants like BU!, Punjab Grill, tamba and many more! With food being exquisitely cooked by the head chefs of the restaurants themselves, it definitely is no excuse to miss an event like this! I, especially, cannot wait to try out the food by Chef Sandeep Ali, Chef Humberto Canales Salinas and many more!
Its not just about the food…
To top it off, the entertainment list definitely seems promising! With hits being performed by Björn Again, Pimms Brooke, the Virgin Radio Roadshow and many more, it definitely sounds like an amazingly planned weekend!
Now since the online sale finished yesterday, you can still buy your ticket on site. The standard entry will cost AED 140 (incl. 2 drinks) or for AED 85 without the vouchers for Friday or Saturday. You can also get the VIP tickets (inclusive of many more feature) for a bit more at the website http://tasteabudhabi.com/.
I will pretty much be scanning around, and trying my hand at tossing frying pans. But if you’re there, we can always say hello or probably grab a plate of the extensive portfolio of food available!
A couple of days post the event, I shall definitely put up a post on the “after-event” features…until then…stay tuned!
